Mom Protests the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez Statue's Nakedness
60Art or Perversion?
OHH EEM GEE! I can't believe the picture I just saw of the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez bronze statue. First off, so-called artist Daniel Edwards decided to make a statue of these two artists joined by one leg and walking on three legs ~ GROSS! The couple is displayed totally nude (with the exception of a maple leaf and a lone star covering their jewels). This bronze atrocity crosses the line between art and vulgarity. I can not even mention some of the other elements on the statue! As a mom, I think it is inappropriate for Justin's and Selena's young, under 21 fan base to see this lewdness.
According to several sources, the statue will be displayed in a lewd adult store.
You might remember Daniel Edwards as the same man who made statues of Hollywood celebrities and entertainment artists Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie.
Edwards has taken the natural beauty of nakedness and turned it into a perversion. His statue is offensive to people who may be conjoined. It perverts and mocks the basic act of animal procreation. Sick!
What do you think? Is this statue the right type of "artistic expression" for Justin's and Selena's younger fans? Or should it be tossed in the garbage?
